It’s the collaboration that everyone’s talking about and deservingly so. Miranda Lambert and Elle King join forces on the electric “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home).” It’s the ultimate ‘live life to its fullest” song.
Eric Church. New song. That’s all you need to know. We get gifted a new song every few weeks leading up to his triple album release. “Never Break Heart” is such a feel good song with a hint of a throwback vibe.
It’s been awhile since we’ve gotten new music from Brett Young, but fret no more as he dropped “You Got Away With It” this week. With plenty of Brett Young soul in it, if you’re a fan of him, you’re going to enjoy this new tune.
We’ve mentioned how Hailey Whitters is a star in the making and her deluxe album officially arrived. While we’ve heard most of the songs leading up to the official release, this week we get “How To Break A Heart” which features the songwriters Lori McKenna and Hillary Lindsey providing vocals on each of the verses.
Tracy Lawrence is planning on releasing a ton of music this year which is music to our ears. With plans to release a new song every two weeks leading up to the April 23rd release of Volume 1: Stairway to Heaven Highway to Hell, we’re in for a treat. This week’s powerful and heart-wrenching song is “Struggle, Struggle.”
Favorite Songs from Country Risers:
“Places to Run” – Dusty Black: This song just sounds like a hit. It does. Then you discover the songwriters are Brock Berryhill (“What Happens in a Small Town”, “Good As You”), Josh Mirenda (“Somewhere On a Beach”, “They Don’t Know”), and Taylor Phillips (“Homesick”, “Hurricane”) it makes a ton of sense. While the writers deserve credit, so goes Dusty for putting all of this emotion into the song as he yearns to find some place that doesn’t remind him of a former flame.
“Somebody Does” – Tigirlily: This sister duo have some amazing vocals that more of the country music community is recognizing. From a production standpoint, this song hits so well. There’s so much good energy coming from these two. Add this one to your playlist and then keep your eye on these sisters because they’re going to be major players in no time.
“Seeing Things” – Kevin McGuire: We’re going across the pond to Scotland for this rising artist and his new song. Kevin has this pure voice that is made for the modern country-pop sound. This particular song has some pop and R&B influences that Kevin is able to deliver effortlessly as he sings about seeing an ex around town or on social media.
