Part of what makes Nashville and country music so special is the family-like dynamic that fans see between artists, songwriters, and others in the industry. That’s why when one artist generates some success, it won’t be long until the people behind them start coming out of the shadows as well. Case in point — ERNEST.
He’s written songs like Chris Lane’s “Big, Big, Plans”, Florida Georgia Line’s “I Love My Country”, and Sam Hunt’s “Breaking Up Was Easy in the 90’s.” But the main guy churning out ERNEST’s songs is his good friend Morgan Wallen. ERNEST wrote on 11 of the 30 songs on Wallen’s new double album Dangerous including “More Than My Hometown” and “Somebody’s Problem.”
Between Wallen, HARDY and ERNEST, these three seem to have the songwriting recipe for success and now, ERNEST is finding his way into the spotlight and keeping some of those songs for himself.
He released an album back in 2019, Locals Only, which needs more recognition because there are some real hidden gems on there. He is also releasing new music in 2021, which started back in December with a new single “Cheers.” Between writing for other artists, releasing his own music, and also hosting his own podcast “Just Being Ernest” which has seen guests like Keith Urban and Chris Young, ERNEST seems to be taking over all aspects of the country music world.
Any fans of Wallen, HARDY and Hunt are sure to fall in love with ERNEST’s music as well.
