What an absolute 90s jam.
Let’s be honest. Collin Raye’s “I Can Still Feel You” isn’t one of his signature songs but man is it an absolute joy to listen to 20+ years after its release in 1998.
The song was written by Kim Tribble (Montgomery Gentry’s “One In Every Crowd”, Mindy McCready’s “Guys Do It All The Time”) and Tammy Hyler (Martina McBride’s “I Love You” and “It’s My Time”).
“I Can Still Feel You” spent two weeks at #1 in the summer of 1998, becoming his fourth and final #1 hit of his career. It was also his 18th song to reach the Top 10 on the charts.
I don’t have any great back story as to how the song came to be, but it’s just one of those great songs from the 90s that you can go years without hearing, but once it comes on again you know every…single….word.
