New in Nash: This Week in New Music

By Aaron Wagner

Justin Moore is out with a new song which just might be one of my favorite songs I’ve heard this year. “We Didn’t Have Much” is a great country song with just as great of a message.

Then there’s Brothers Osborne who dropped one of the best albums of 2020 with Skeletons. An early favorite off the project is “Make It a Good One.” Breakthrough artist Travis Denning dropped a new one this week with “Goodyears.” The blue-collar anthem is one that I think has a good chance to do well at radio if it gets sent to radio.

One of our favorite artists here at Raised On It is Jordan Rager and he released a 4 song EP, including this ode to his hometown called “Call You Home.” The Swon Brothers released yet another new song this week with “Drink You Up.”

One of the more under the radar bands is Josh Abbott Band and the group released a new mid-tempo song about how our soulmates bring out the best in each other with “Settle Me Down.” Also out with a new song this week is Clare Dunn who has the up-tempo jam “We Are.”

My 3 Favorite Songs from Country Risers:

“Love or a Lover” – Seth Alley: This song has such a clever concept behind it that I think a lot of us can relate to. Seth’s vocals on this bring out the emotion that this song needs. A must add to your playlists.

“Lines” – Jay Allen: Speaking of clever concepts for songs, this one from Jay Allen does a great job building a song around a single word. This song will pull at your heartstrings in more ways than you think.

“Levi Denim” – Chase Martin: Taking a look at the songwriters – Abby Anderson, Allison Veltz, and Matt Stell – you just know this is going to be a great song. It’s a fun song, full of a playful confidence and Chase brings the energy, making this song one of my favorites this week.
