Throwback Jam: Sawyer Brown’s “Some Girls Do”

By Aaron Wagner

With over nineteen Top-10 hits, Sawyer Brown is one of the most successful bands of the 90s.

One of Sawyer Brown’s biggest songs during that era was “Some Girls Do.” The song reached #1 on the charts in 1992, becoming their 2nd of three number one hits, including “Step That Step” and “Thank God for You.”

The band’s lead singer Mark Miller wrote the song as he sings about being a middle of the road type of guy. Not goody two-shoes, but not too wild either as the chorus lyrics say:

Well I ain’t first class
But I ain’t white trash
I’m wild and a little crazy too
Some girls don’t like boys like me
Aw but some girls do

Can we also talk about the great 90s fashion in their music video too? Such a great look.
