New In Nashville: This Week In New Music

By Aaron Wagner

Life is always good when Cole Swindell drops new music. “Single Saturday Night” has him describing the last time he goes out as a single guy. Brett Eldredge searches for positivity and optimism during tough times in “Good Day.” Then there’s Florida Georgia Line who dropped a 6 Pack EP that I’m not quite sold on yet, but “Second Guessing” from NBC’s Songland is a nice listen.

An EP that I’m absolutely sold on this week is Jordan Davis self titled EP. I’ve been listening to “Church In A Chevy” and “A Little Lime” all weekend. One of our other favorite Jordans – Jordan Rager – dropped a catchy summer tune inspired by Kenny Chesney summer songs with “Somebody’s Summer.”

High Valley seems to be dropping a new song every week and this week it’s the driving “Show Me The Way.” Amongst all of the new music, Craig Morgan does a helluva cover of Gavin DeGraw’s “Soldier” on his new album he released.

My favorite collaboration this week is the catchy and downright addicting “In The Woulds” from BRELAND on his new EP which includes Chase Rice and Lauren Alaina on vocals.

I absolutely love Honey County’s sound on their new song “Woke Up Tired” and Lauren Hall pours her heart out in an emotional new one “Gone.”

My 3 Favorite Songs from Country Risers:

Ghost Of You” – JoLivi: This was my introduction to her and I came away so impressed. Her vocals are so smooth it makes for easy listening.

“Easy” – John King: There’s something so satisfying about minimal production, rather opting for just a guitar and the artist which is what John does in this new song.

“Ringside” – Grayson Rogers: This is such a nice message describing how life can sometimes be a battle but that battle is a little easier when you have someone in your corner.
