In the summer of 1995 a new country group was taking the country music industry by storm: Lonestar.
In August that year, Lonestar released their debut single Tequila Talkin’ on their self-titled debut album which also featured Top 10 hits “No News” and “Running Away With My Heart.”
Written by Bill LaBounty (“Lynda,” “The Weekend”) and Chris Waters (“That Ain’t My Truck,” “Better Things to Do”) Tequila Talkin’ would reach the Top 10 on the charts peaking at #8.
This was just the start as the band would go on to become one of the most successful bands of the 90s and 2000s.
