New Music: June 24, 2019

Cole Swindell released “Drinkin’ Hours” off his upcoming EP Down Home Sessions V. The Down Home Sessions is a project that has become a huge fan favorite as each volume contains new songs, covers, or songs he’s written for other artists.


Our expectations for Jon Pardi’s upcoming album continue to get higher. His latest tease “Ain’t Always the Cowboy” is such a Jon Pardi song as it has all the traditional country elements while not sounding like it doesn’t belong on radio in 2019.

Following up on their #1 hit “Love Ain’t” Eli Young Band is back with another top notch song. “Break It In” is a feel good song about growing in to things, whether it’s your first baseball glove or first car.

Meghan Patrick is coming off winning 5 awards at the CMA Ontario Awards last weekend and dropped a new song with “Wild As Me.” She’s a female artist to watch over the next few years.

Another female artist that is kicking ass is Abby Anderson. Her catchy new one “Guy Like You” has her sharing how much in love she is with her guy and if the relationship ever ends he’s the standard she’ll measure everyone to.

Canadian country artist Chad Brownlee makes nothing but infectious songs. He released his new EP Back in the Game this weekend. We’ll recap the album later this week but for now check out “The Way You Roll” and in typical Chad Brownlee fashion he made a hilarious music video to go with it.

Up and coming artist Trea Landon is out with a new one this week in “Get the Girl” as he lays out the correct ways to pursue a girl.

Hailey Whitters is one of the best young lyricists among the next generation of country artists. Take a close listen to “Red, Wine, and Blue” and the emotion she puts behind her lyrics.

Aaron Watson released a 20 song album this week called Red Bandana. Yes you heard right — 20 songs. Check out “Live or Die Trying.”

Kelleigh Bannen is back with new music this week. “Deluxe” has her being unapologetic for going big or going home with the way she lives her life and the way she loves.

Ryan Robinette released the third installment of Hello Summer, an annual EP that comes out during summer. Check out his summer jam “Dive Bar.”

Country traditionalist Tyler Childers released a new one this week about a simple love with “All Your’n.”

Country up and comer Emily Hackett released a new one this week with “Worth the Weight” a song with a fun play on words about simply getting through life day by day.

Baker Grissom is a new country artist who just released his debut EP Saturdays and Sunday. One that stands out on the project is “You Are Who You Listen To.”

Ashley Walls is another up and coming artist out with a new tune this week. Listen to “Kids of the Dirty South.”

Emily Weisband is a young songwriter in Nashville who has written songs for the likes of Tim McGraw, Danielle Bradbery, Thomas Rhett, and Camilla Cabello. This week she released her first song as an artist called “Identity Crisis.”
