New Music: June 17, 2019

Kelsea Ballerini released a new song this week after her time on NBC’s Songland.

Songwriting contestant Darius Coleman wrote the song and it was something Kelsea was instantly drawn to. Initially written with an R&B singer in mind, “Better Luck Next Time” was tweaked to better suit her style.

If you’ve recently lost a loved one, then Chris Young has the song for you. “Drowning” is his latest this week as he sings about missing someone “in waves.” This is a powerful one.

Brantley Gilbert is out with new music this week as well. Singing about being a parent, Gilbert shows his more vulnerable side with “Man That Hung The Moon.”

Justin Moore is finishing up his next studio album. While the album isn’t due out until July 26, this week he released a new one from that project in “On The Rocks.”

I think it’s fair to say that Riley Green is on his way to being a star in country music. “Get That Man a Beer” is the song about thanking the guy who his girl left him for because he’s been doing great ever since. Lyrically it’s clever, funny, and most importantly relatable.

Hunter Hayes has been cranking out the new music over the course of the last year. With nearly three years between music it’s great to have him back making music. “One Good Reason” is a new ballad from him.

Montgomery Gentry released a 7 song EP called Outskirts that includes the last vocals that Troy was part of. “Joe Six-Pack” is one of our favorites from the project as it’s peak Montgomery Gentry. We’re going to truly miss the music this duo made.

Jon Langston is one of our favorite country risers to keep an eye on. “Now You Know” is his fun new one that salutes being raised country as country gets. This will be a fun one to hear live.

In his latest this week, country singer-songwriter Adam Sanders sings about how he truly is living out the words he puts down on paper in the songs he writes. Check out “I Don’t Just Sing About It.”

Midland released “Put The Hurt On” this week. The group sings about seductively falling for someone and not having a care in the world for what happens next.

Up and coming artist Cody Webb is out with a new summer jam this week in “Jon Boat.”

Another country riser, Adam Doleac, is out with two new songs this week. Having written songs for Kane Brown and Darius Rucker, he’s out with some new songs of his own. “Famous” and “Solo” are the new tracks from him this week.

Garrett Biggs is another up and coming singer out with new music this week in “3 Minutes at a Time.”
