New Music: May 28, 2019

A week after appearing on a duet with Thomas Rhett, Jon Pardi released his own new music. He released “Heartache Medication” a 90s country type of sound that somehow still fits into the current country landscape. He’s one of those artists that can do this masterfully. Pardi announced a new album also titled Heartache Medication will be coming September 27th.

Thomas Rhett is releasing his Center Point Road album later this week but gave fans one last sneak peak by releasing the title track. Kelsea Ballerini joins him on the playful song that evokes major feelings of nostalgia.

Grab the box of tissues. Riley Green’s latest is almost guaranteed to move you to tears. “Numbers On The Cars” is the true story about Green’s grandpa dealing with Alzheimer’s. We were fortunate to hear him sing this acoustically a few months ago and he had the entire audience in the palm of his hand. This one’s going to climb the charts fast.

Tracy Lawrence is back with new music. He sings about the everyday man and woman in “Made in America.” Appropriately released Memorial Day Weekend.

Thomas Finchum is an up and coming artist who wrote one of my favorite songs of the year so far in LOCASH’s “Kiss a Girl.” This week he’s out with his own song in “Past the Front Porch” as he sings about falling in love.

It’s always a good day when Josh Abbott Band releases new music. “Little More You” is a new one from the group this week as they also announced an upcoming EP due out June 28th.

Matt Stell released a new EP titled Everywhere But On. The EP features seven songs, including a duet with Jimmie Allen on “Home in a Hometown.”

Ray Fulcher released his latest EP Somebody Like Me as he looks to make the transition from songwriter to singer. The “When It Rains It Pours” songwriter included six songs on this EP that you need to check out starting with “Life After Your Leavin.”

Caylee Hammack released such a cool sounding song in “Just Friends” this week. She shows off her versatility in the first 45 seconds alone as the song pivots in a completely different direction than you first imagine listening to it.

Hayley Orrantia released her debut EP The Way Out. The 5 song project is an official introduction to the country music world. While she’s busy as all heck with her role on The Goldbergs, this collection of songs shows that she isn’t a one trick pony. Check out one of our favorites from the EP called “Missing Pieces.”

Emma White released one of the more honest songs about how cutthroat the industry can be in “Ten Year Town.” She deserves major props for being vulnerable and sharing her journey with the world.

Olivia Lane dropped a song that’s catchy as hell. “So Good It Hurts” has a driving chorus that puts you in such a good mood that you better add it to your ‘Windows Rolled Down Playlist.’

Alyssa Micaela is another up and coming singer who released a new track this week. “Heartbreak Vacay” tells the story of getting over someone by going on vacation. I like that idea.
