Country music and the artists in the industry really are the best aren’t they? This week in particular shows why we love them so much.
Dan + Shay officially celebrated their smash hit Tequila reaching the top of charts. But they went above and beyond with their celebration. They threw a legit block party and put on a free concert for fans. They were joined on stage by notable Nashville songwriters who wrote the hit Nicolle Galyon and Jordan Reynolds. Dan + Shay was also surprised by one of their best buds who recently got engaged.
People Magazine put out their country music issue which featured Charles Kelley from Lady Antebellum talking about the importance of having his wife, Cassie, and his son, Ward touring with him.
They also interview Jay DeMarcus from Rascal Flatts where he talked about the importance of Jesus in how him and his wife raise their kids.
Kenny Chesney showed his appreciation for Thomas Rhett by gifting him an ice tub for going out on tour with him this summer. My friends get a drink from me on their birthday, but when you’re making $40 million a year you can buy better gifts for your friends.
This week the music industry mourned the lost of musical icon Aretha Franklin, including Faith Hill.

GLORY, GLORY, GLORY to the ALMIGHTY!!! The choir of angels now have the greatest voice of all time to lead, praise and join in to sing before Jesus. I wanted to share this photo because it shows just how soulful Aretha was without uttering a word. To say I was humbled to be in her presence would be an understatement.
Brothers Osborne are some funny dudes. Evidently their label has been bugging them to make a music video for “Shoot Me Straight.” You need to check out the hilarious video they put together.
Our label has been on our asses for months to make a video for Shoot Me Straight. The ideas we’ve been pitched are just terrible. We’d rather not make a music video than your every day run of the mill one. #spaceforce https://t.co/4NSPdYAuoB
