Throwback Thursday: The King

On this day in 1997, George Strait was atop the country charts with “Carrying Your Love With Me.”

A song with a simple message that Strait and others could relate to, he sings about missing that special someone while he’s on the road touring. In a time when country started to shift to more of a modern and country/pop feel, Strait didn’t change a thing with this song and it’s a good thing he didn’t. This song spent four week at the top of the charts.
