New Music Friday Roundup

Everyone counts down the days until Friday hits. Mainly to get to the end of the work week but for music lovers it’s an added bonus to have new music drop each and every Friday. Some Friday’s are better than others when it comes to music, but even the Friday’s when it’s a bit slower it is a good opportunity to check out the lesser known artists. Check out the best new songs this week:

“Keeping Score” – Dan + Shay featuring Kelly Clarkson

Keeping Score is the fifth single Dan + Shay have released prior to their official album release date next week, June 22. Shay’s vocals are top notch to begin with so you can imagine how great it sounds with the addition of Kelly Clarkson.

“Reasons to Drink” – Cole Swindell

His new album is slated to drop on August 17 but in the meantime he’s given us fans plenty of great material to listen to so far with songs such as “Break Up In The End” and “Somebody’s Been Drinkin’.” The perfect song to be released on a Friday after the work week, am I right?

“Fishin'” – Chris Lane

Chris Lane announced last night that his sophomore album is due out July 13. If this catchy tune is any preview of what’s to come, we’re in for a treat.

“Long Way to Go” and “Do Right by My Love” – Maggie Rose

I’m a huge fan of Maggie Rose. Last year some of my friends and I went to a Hunter Hayes show. My friends were wondering why I insisted we get there early to listen to the opener – Maggie Rose. Needless to say, they were really impressed with her and I was vindicated.
